About me

I’m a former fandom kid, who, after experiencing some personal issues, left the institution of fandom because I realised my own madness was caused by the inherent toxicity of those spaces. After several failed attempts to start blogs criticising fandoms, I began to realise that social justice ideology and fandom were intrinsically linked, and the madness of today’s world is at least partially the result of an unholy marriage between these two.

This blog is the culmination of this realisation.

Over here, you will find me translating fandom concepts to the normies and the potential implications they have on Internet discourse, youth trends around the world and beyond. May veer into other subjects if author is in the mood. Updates may be irregular due to writer’s block, real life commitments or a meteor from Mars.

I also write for the Outside Art Short Story collection, under the pseudonym Goldie Low.

Watch this space. May be about deconstructing fandom and weeb stuff, may be about culture war stuff. Or maybe I might be lazy and just never write at all.
